We conduct research focused on disease
modeling
and toxicology

In our laboratory, we model diseases like obesity, anxiety, and depression to uncover their underlying mechanisms and explore alternative treatment approaches. Additionally, we examine the toxicity of various food additives, pesticides, and nano-sized plastics, aiming to assess their potential risks to human health. 

Food additives
With an innovative approach, we explore the impact of food additives by precisely microinjecting them into the yolk sac (food) of zebrafish during the embryonic development stage.
Nanoplastics & Pesticides
We explore how widely used pesticides and nano-sized plastic particles in global agricultural practices affect aquatic ecosystems and health. Our research sheds light on their potential risks, paving the way for a safer and more sustainable environment.
Behavior
We utilize advanced behavioral test systems to model neurodegenerative diseases and explore innovative treatment approaches. Additionally, we examine the impact of xenobiotics on behavior using specially designed behavioral analysis techniques.
